Bryce, Kodachrome Basin, and Capitol Reef

The Road Trip, continued.

Spectacular Bryce Canyon! This was very late afternoon. A guy would have to spend a year taking pictures to discover how sun angle and season affects photos of this interesting geological formation.
                .

Lots of lookout points and easy walkways.
               .

This is Castle Rock in Kodachrome Basin. There were lots of these monoliths. Early morning fog kept things dark.
             .

Your Friendly Neighborhood Underground Carpenter.
                .

Roadways in Southern Utah are a delight. Always interesting.
           .

The fog lifted briefly.
              .

Then back to fog. And snow.
                .

I missed out on the certain beauty of Capitol Reef because of the fog.
               .

This is about as clear as it got.
               .

It might be fun someday to saddle up a horse and ride a trail or two.
           .

I love these gnarly old trees.
